Fun Project
This project was a lot of fun for my first paint by numbers. I was very disappointed when my canvas arrived with two small dents/tears (probably from transport) and that there were no paintbrushes in the box. There were a few unlabeled color spaces so I improvised a little. Finally, I felt the need to do multiple coats to achieve the non-see through look I wanted. The product box had lots of broken English, including sentences like “The pigment is spreadability, you can modify it when make a mistake.” It was a lot of fun though and I am happy with the outcome.

Worth the money if you do your research
It took me about 24 hours to complete this over about 11 sittings. Yes, some numbers are hard to read, and no it won’t look exactly like the portrait, but for that many hours of entertainment I feel its worth it. I watched a couple videos about how to blend on YouTube and that helped with the sky, lighthouse, and waterfall. This was my first paint by number so it is a little intense for a beginner. I’m not a long-term project person so by the end I didn’t care about blending and wanted to be done. Love that is has an easel and was already framed. Good experience and I would buy again as a gift or if I decide to make the time investment again.

Some of the paint too dry to use!
This hobby is supposed to be relaxing but when you get a kit where there are several pots of paint that are too dry to use, it’s not very relaxing; You can keep adding water to make it spreadable but for the $ I am paying I don’t expect to have to do that; Apparently there is a shelf life on these and this is not the first time this has happened; Very disappointed!

Grey flowers
Was really excited for this paint by numbers, but the flowers are grey like some of the other reviewers got. Hopefully I can salvage this with some paint from the store but I’m disappointed.

DIY Art of Painting by Numbers
I finally finished my painting. I enjoyed this product very much. The canvas numbers where easy enough to read. The paint itself was not dry or clumpy. The paint brushes worked perfectly. The easel that came with the product was very useful. This is the final product. (I suggest getting a magnifying glass to read the small type numbers.) I highly recommend this product either for yourself or as a gift to someone. I look forward to my next painting.

Disappointed, unfortunately. The paint for the flowers is not white – it is pink and lavender.

Not enough paint
Many of the numbers are too small to make out, like 13 and 18. You will need a magnifying glass. Quite a few of the paint was already drying up, was found in the cap, or very small in content. I have painted the sky, lighthouse and house and there is not enough paint to finish the painting. So I am going to use colors close to these from acrylic paints I have on hand. The brushes are cheaply made. When done I will post a picture of the completed painted canvas. P.s. Mixed some tube acrylic paints to finish. Posted picture.

Very nice paint by numbers
My niece turned 10. She is enjoying her paint-by-number set. The easel that came with it is not worth consideration. The wood was scrap and not finished. Look for one in the same company without the easel to see if it is cheaper. I mainly bought the set for the scene to paint. I was delighted with the scene, paints, and instructions. If you paint many sets, consider buying an easel.

Not enough paint
The canvas is nice and it is mounted nice but almost half the paint jars it came with are like the picture where they are mostly empty. I hadn’t even used any paint from the jars in that picture and that is how empty they are, not enough to paint the picture I don’t think.

Time consuming but worth it
I enjoyed painting this, although I have to say that I had to buy a magnifying glass that had a light so that I could see all the teeny tiny numbers in certain areas. And that was with me wearing my glasses. Once that little roadblock got fixed, I was able to go about painting, and I found that I was running out of 3 of the colors that are used a lot in the painting. So I had to substitute some areas with different colors, but all in all, I think it ended up coming out very nicely. I would just recommend that the manufacturer packing these paintings, add a little bit extra paint on the colors that are used frequently.

I enjoyed it
Doesn’t quite match the colors in the actual picture, but you can play around with the colors and layers afterwards. I enjoyed that I didn’t have to mix colors. Easel and paint brushes were cheapy but overall I’d recommend.

Fun Project
This was my first paint-by-numbers project and I enjoyed it. I like the framed canvas. Some of the paint was too transparent to cover the numbers, so I used white-out before painting and it worked. I’m not sure the white-out was necessary as I found out that there was enough paint to make a heavy coat over the numbers. Some reviewers said they ran out of paint. That was not the case for me. This project was relaxing and fun. I wish they came with more than 3 brushes so I can paint more than one color at a time. I like it enough to order more projects.

Enjoy it, but not enough paint!
I enjoy working on this painting, but I ran out of a few colors already. The merchant states to contact them with any issues, but there is no contact information and they did not respond to Amazon’s customer service inquiry. Will likely do more paint by number projects, but not likely to purchase from this seller again.

Paint
There are 20 colors in this painting and only 18 are sent to you. I used leftover paint from other colors to create the missing #19 & 20. I had to purchase more black. The majority of the paints were so dry that you had to add water and stir and stir. The additional picture with numbers comes in very handy when the lighter colors need a extra coat.

I enjoyed this kit
I am not new to this but nowhere near expert, but I enjoyed this kit. I didn’t like that some of the spaces were so small you couldn’t see the number even with a magnifying glass so I started singing it in those areas and again blended everything when I was done so it didn’t look so paint-by-number-ish.I worked on it for an hour or two a night for a week.Packaged well, all paints were in good condition and there was plenty of it. One brush was a little messed up but I have a separate set- all in all worth the money.

Mixed feelings
These are much more vibrant colors than it looks which I like personally. They don’t give you much paint in each pot which is disappointing. I’m finding myself watering down the paints to get the larger areas covered. At first I didn’t like the “paper” canvas – it is not a regular canvas. But it soaks up the colors well and it dries fast. All of my paints were rather thick when I got them so I went through and dropped a couple of drops of water in each pot right off the bat so they wouldn’t dry up – I suggest you do that.

Enjoyable & beautiful!
Enjoyed this paint by number (lighthouse) although some of the print was very tiny. It looked beautiful when finished & was fun to watch take shape. A few recommendations: 1) Keep the enclosed paper copy handy. It helps identify numbers if you can’t read them on the canvas. (Though you may need a magnifying glass!) 2) You’ll use a lot of the purples & oranges. Don’t apply too thickly so you have enough to cover all — then go back for touch ups. (I scraped the bottom of the barrel for purple #2 and #3!) 3) If you make a mistake, just let it dry (rather than trying to wipe it off — that will distort the print on the canvas) them paint over it. The paint covers errors well. And my personal preference — there were two dark blue circles in the upper right corner (color #5, I think?) that just did not look right…so I ended up painting over them with the color around it (color #4) & thought it looked better.

Colors NOT as advertised
The paint was very thin so the numbers showed through so I had to apply several coats. Compare THEIR advertisement picture to mine and the colors are way off. My kit was much more yellow and the paints too watery. I had fun doing it, but frustration that final product wasn’t as advertised. I had hoped to hang this in a specific room but the color is way off what was advertised.

Not the right colors
I have mixed feelings about this PBNs because it started off great, then noticed that almost every paint had a different consistency and either wouldn’t spread hardly at all, or it was so thin that it took multiple layers to even get the color to cover the canvas in that section. Also I was really disappointed towards the end when I noticed instead of getting the tan looking color, I got white, and when I was done it looked incomplete. And even after I added my own touch to the white spaces by putting different colors, from a distance it still looks like there are spaces not painted, because the #5 paint color was such an extreme light pink, doesn’t matter how many coats I put and I’ve gone over multiple times, it’s barely visible in my opinion. Also didn’t receive reference photo so I had to keep going to the screenshot I took off here. Definitely wouldn’t purchase from this seller again.

Paint quality
Same manufacturer as my first paint by number and again problems with the paint. I opened one of the small tubs and it was basically empty. The seller was very accommodating and responsive. I am going to go to Michaels and see if I can match the paint. This is really not for beginners.Eventually all the paint congealed and the numbers disappeared from the tub covers. It did not matter how prominent a color was, all colors were the same amount so I had to substitute colors from a previous paint by number.

Not the best, not the worst
This is the second paint number I have done and wanted something simpler than the last one I did. This one was also about $20 cheaper and it really shows in the overall quality.Overall, the product isn’t horrible it’s more of you get what you paid for and clearly isn’t meant for people who do paint by numbers as a proper hobby. The biggest issue that I had was the quality of the brushes, I hadn’t even been working on it for more than a few hours and the hair of the brushes were coming out in chunks; I ended up having to get a better set of brushes as the craft store to even be able to paint. The next issue was that the paint isn’t pigmented at all. Typically you only have to do 1-2 coats to make everything solid, but with this paint, I would be on coats 4-5 and would still see streaks and be able to see the number peeking through.I would maybe recommend this more for a child who isn’t going to make this a proper hobby and more of a fun arts and crafts project, but for people who properly enjoy doing paint by numbers and want quality, this is not the product for you.

Awesome overall but paint is huge issue!
Love this paint by number! I’m excited to see how it looks once I’m done but I ran out of paint. Especially on the light colored #’s. I still have quite a bit to go and am totally out of about 5 colors. I don’t have a ton of experience with paint so I don’t know if it’s a quality issue of if all light colors need a few coats to really be solid, but this paint definitely requires that. Even on the dark colors like the grey, blue, and purple needed multiple coats if I didn’t want an uneven/streaky look. Which I decided the multiple coat issue was okay even though it meant I was actually painting this whole thing 2-3 times (it’s about the journey not the destination… right?! 😆)… what sucked is that I needed to buy a whole second set to be able to finish the painting. 🙁 but it’s given me hours of entertainment so I guess $50 ish dollars isn’t too bad. But definitely buyers beware… the paint provided is scarce so use sparingly or plan accordingly!! I included some photos of the numbers and lines showing through after even 2-3 coats. Now I’m all out waiting for the second batch to arrive. All and all it’s turning out awesome though and has been really fun! Also want to note customer service was very responsive and nice when I asked them about this but I didn’t want to wait up to a month and a half to get more paint and have to pay shipping. I’d like to just get the painting finished and not have to wait that long. They should just include either more or higher quality paint. But nonetheless, they were very understanding, nice and quick to respond!

I really like it.
This is my first PBN, shipping was fast and everything came in a flat package with the canvas already frame. I’m still waiting for others that I made from the established companies but decide to check this out because of the fast shipping.I see others have complained about the quality of the paint being too transparent and I watched some YouTube video on PBN and it seems like it’s normal to get some paint without enough white pigment that will make it transparent. So will have to remedy that and I did the paint swatches with its number to see which one I’ll have problem with. A trick I learn from watching YouTube. I’m working on the dark color first and those that are opaque. I switched colors when I got bored with one.I do use the smallest brush they provided as all my other brushes are too big so am waiting for my fine detail brushes to arrive.Overall I’m very happy with the quality of the print, lines n no. are clear n legible, canvas is beautifully frame that I can paint while sitting on the sofa. The easel came in so handy that I feel like I’m a real artist while painting and I can keep the painting on it for display once I’m done. The printed reference guide is so helpful to go back n check the no. when needed. Thou I wish the printed picture is slightly bigger. This one as you can see will take a long time and needs a lot of of patience for small detail work. But I do enjoy working on it slowly. I think it will turn out nice.

Good customer service
** Added *. The company reached out and sent me new paints. Great customer service. The painting looks like it would be good but 5 of the 20 paints were dried. Adding water to it didn’t really help at all. That’s how dried up they were. Some of the paints had an offensive fishy like odor. Disappointed because I was going to paint and then give to a grandchild. Maybe I can find some paints to substitute.

Requires patience but pretty easy to use
I have pretty good vision but some of the numbers and areas to paint are quite small. The paintbrush sizes aren’t always compatible with the areas to paint. Some of the paint colors came a bit chunky and thick too. All colors expect the dark ones have required 2-3 coats of paint to cover the area completely and cover the dark numbers/lines. Overall it was a fun experience and rewarding because the final product looks great. Also love that it comes already on a canvas with wall hangers and an easel to display and let dry.

Great for Adult Beginner / Stress Reliever
(NOTE, easel in the photo is NOT the one that comes with the package – I wanted to stand up to paint, from sitting all day at work, so I got a standing easel at Michael’s). I’ve always wanted to paint, but I have no talent, zero, so I thought I’d give this a try. Overall, I give the product 5 stars, it comes with everything you need, the paint is plentiful, the canvas is framed and sturdy, the pattern is easy to follow. I would recommend picking up some better brushes, especially since the lighter paint dries quickly and a little transparent, so having a better brush that applies a thicker, evener coat is best. While I give the product and experience 5 stars, I’m giving my effort a B- I have just started my next painting that I bought from this same company, and will use lessons learned to try to do better next time. 🙂

All paints are mislabeled
This one is definitely not for a beginner – a lot of small and tiny detail, which is not an issue. The issue is that absolutely all paints do not match the numbers. If I started painting according to the numbers all the colors will be off – good thing I checked first. Had to re-number all of the paints, which was a pain of course. A couple paints were dried out, but just a couple, and I do have a lot of my own to replace with. Overall it’s a fun project.

Finished painting is beautiful.
This painting arrived in great condition. It was ready to paint right out of the box. It was stretched on a frame, there was plenty of paint and everything matched up. Loved the way it turned out. I did make a few mistakes along the way but was able to fix them easily with the correct paint color. Lovely picture. I would love to see more of the paint by number pictures offered already stretched on a frame. This makes a huge difference in how they arrive. Those I’ve gotten unframed are usually folded and that is not good. Some have come rolled around a styrofoam tube and that is much better. Stretched is perfect. Enjoyed the painting adventure.

Time consuming, but A happy painting to look at after.
I ordered this painting to have something to do after I was not caregiving anymore during the COVID. It was pretty fast delivery. Came with everything you needed. Painting, easel and paints. This was my second paint by number painting. It was very detailed and time consuming. I would not say it is for beginners, even though that’s what I am and it says it’s for beginners. If you have time and can take the time with the details (many details besides the daisies) you will be ok. The colors are vibrant, and it is a happy picture to look at when it is finished. Definitely something you will be proud of, and who would not want a happy picture during this pandemic.I had paint left including the color white. I would recommend this painting if you are looking for something to do in your spare time and want something happy to look at when it is completed.

Love It! Picture is framed so ready to hang!
This was my first paint by numbers. I agree the printed lines and numbers do bleed through so I had to go over some several times to cover them. I didn’t use the easel so probably didn’t need to order one with it. 24 colors in all. When I did touching up at the end I had all but one open but happy with how it turned out. Great project for cold, rainy days and day dreaming of beach days ahead. Best part it is already framed and ready to hang!

Try this, you might love it.
Oh my soul! I wasn’t real sure about this whole paint by numbers thing. As a kid, they were very simple, never enough paint, not really fun. But this!! It took me a couple of weeks to accomplish. It was extremely relaxing and satisfying. I think it turned out well. The thing to watch out for is choose a project with a framed canvas, an easel, (it helps so much) and brushes. Several offer all of this but a lot do not. I love this. I have already chosen my next. This isn’t cheap but well worth the money.

Get your glasses or magnifying glass
Absolutely love the beach scenery but oh boy did I have a hard time seeing the small numbers, having to paint several coats of the lighter colors and staying inside some of the very tiny lines. The stand that comes with it works just fine and the painting is a decent size. Honestly, I didn’t finish it because it was more frustrating than relaxing for me. Didn’t help that my husband kept asking me if I was going to finish it today??? Nope, not today or tomorrow or ever! Painting by numbers is not my cup of tea. Give me a plain canvass and some paints and I’m good to go but it’s always encouraging to try something new because you just might like it.

Flimsy
Easel is a flimsy joke. Paint, especially lighter colors, does not cover well, despite putting on thickly. Expect to re-apply paint after first coat is dry in order to cover lines and numbers.

It’s okay but…
I thought maybe I got a fluke packaging but my replacement had the same problem. The screws to hold the bottom wood piece for the easel are not the same as pictured in the description. There should only be 1 long screw for the top, and then 2 smaller screws for the bottom. You can see that it sticks out too far and it’s not stable. I ended up using a different, more sturdier easel that I already had to paint this one.The canvas is okay, thinner than most canvases I’ve painted on. The paint is really thick, almost like it’s about to dry up so I added a few drops of water to thin it out.

I ran out of paint.
I was almost finished with the painting, but ran out of colors 2, 3, and 4. I have been unable to finish. I have gone to our local hobby store and have bought several different paints believing three were close, but so far none have been a match. I am so disappointed in not being able to finish. This has not been the easiest painting and I was excited to see the finished product. If anyone knows exactly what colors 2, 3, and 4 are I would love to know.

My first paint by number! Almost done. Was NOT a quick weekend project like I planned, took a few weekends. I liked that it came stretched on a frame ready to go right out of box. I didn’t like that I’m still giving some of the lighter colors additional coats to cover numbers. All in all very satisfied. I will do it again.
